The short version
- You install Yieldso from Shopify, and Shopify bills any paid plan. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the app.
- Your store's data stays yours. We use it only to run Yieldso for you, as the Privacy Policy describes.
- Yieldso proposes changes and writes them to your store only once you approve them, or on a schedule you switch on. Each change can be reverted.
- We can't guarantee search rankings, traffic or AI-assistant mentions. Nobody honestly can.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Yieldso is operated by Anbalabs (anbalabs.com), referred to here as "we" or "us". These terms cover the Yieldso Shopify app, the Yieldso web application and this website (together, "Yieldso"). "You" means the business that owns the Shopify store Yieldso is installed on, and the staff who use it on that business's behalf.
By installing or using Yieldso you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of them. If you use Yieldso for a business, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
2. The service
Yieldso analyses your Shopify store for search-engine and AI-assistant visibility, proposes fixes, writes approved fixes to your store, measures storefront speed and AI-referred traffic, and reports on the results. What each plan includes, and its monthly limits, is shown on the pricing page and in the app under Plan & billing.
We improve Yieldso continuously, so features may change. If we remove a feature that a paid plan specifically includes, we will tell you in the app first.
3. Plans, billing and trials
- Paid plans are billed by Shopify, in USD, as part of your Shopify invoice. We never take card details.
- Where a trial is offered it applies to your first paid subscription and is shown on Shopify's plan page before you approve the charge.
- You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from Plan & billing in the app, or by uninstalling. A downgrade or cancellation applies the lower plan's limits from then on.
- Charges follow Shopify's billing terms. Except where the law or Shopify requires otherwise, fees for a billing period that has started are not refunded.
- If we change a plan's price, the change follows Shopify's billing rules, and Shopify shows you the new price before you are charged it.
4. Your store data
You own your store's data and content. You give us permission to access, store and process it only as needed to provide Yieldso to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Some features process personal data about your store's shoppers, such as order totals and the traffic source of an order. For that data you are the controller and we are your processor: we process it only to provide the feature you switched on, keep it secure, delete it on the schedule in the Privacy Policy, and use the sub-processors listed there. We follow Shopify's API terms and its requirements for protected customer data, and we help you respond to data requests from your customers.
5. Changes Yieldso makes to your store
Yieldso writes to your store only what you approve, or what a schedule you switched on publishes. Every write is recorded in the change log with the value before and after, and can be reverted from the app. You are responsible for reviewing proposed changes before you approve them, including that they are accurate for your products and comply with the laws that apply to your business.
Storefront features run through Yieldso's theme app embed, which you turn on in the theme editor. The only theme file Yieldso can edit is robots.txt, and only if you grant the optional theme permission and apply a change. We keep the previous file so it can be restored.
6. AI-generated content
On some plans Yieldso uses AI models to draft product copy, content improvements and articles. AI output can be wrong. Yieldso checks product claims against your product data before proposing them, but you remain responsible for reviewing anything before it is published. Articles are created as unpublished drafts and are never published automatically.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Yieldso on a store you are not authorised to manage;
- use Yieldso to publish content that is unlawful, misleading, or infringes someone else's rights;
- try to access another store's data, probe or disrupt our systems, or get round plan limits;
- resell Yieldso or copy it to build a competing service.
8. Third-party services
Yieldso works with services we don't control, including Shopify, Google Search Console, Google PageSpeed Insights, Bing Webmaster Tools, IndexNow and AI providers. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their availability or their changes.
9. Availability and support
We aim to keep Yieldso available and fast, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Support is available from the app and by email; response times by plan are shown on the pricing page.
10. No guarantee of results
Search engines and AI assistants decide rankings and mentions themselves, and change how they do it. Yieldso's scores, estimates and recommendations are guidance. To the extent the law allows, Yieldso is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including that it will improve your traffic, rankings or sales.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Yieldso is limited to the fees you paid for Yieldso in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD 100 if that is more. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Yieldso at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, or if Shopify requires it; where we reasonably can, we will warn you first. When Yieldso is uninstalled, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections 4 (for data we still hold), 10, 11 and 13 continue after the agreement ends.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Anbalabs is established, and its courts have jurisdiction, unless the law where your business is established gives you the right to bring a claim there.
14. Changes to these terms
If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Yieldso after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree with them, you can uninstall.
