Indexability checker
Paste a URL and we'll check whether Google can actually crawl and index it — the HTTP status, robots.txt rules, any noindex directive, and the canonical tag.
We fetch the URL live as Googlebot would. Public pages only.
What an indexability check tells you
A page can look perfect in a browser and still be unavailable to search engines. This checker follows the URL, records the final HTTP response, reads robots.txt, and looks for page-level directives such as noindex, nofollow, and X-Robots-Tag.
Use the result to separate a crawling problem from a ranking problem. If the page is blocked, fix access first; then use our on-page SEO checker to review the content and markup.
Common indexability problems
- A
noindexdirective left on a production page. - Robots.txt rules that disallow an important folder.
- Redirects ending at a 4xx or 5xx response.
- A canonical URL that points to a different page.
This is a live technical check, not a guarantee that Google will index a URL. Search engines also consider quality, duplication, links, crawl demand, and their own processing systems.
