How the grade works
The score is Yieldso's answer readiness: 55% classic search (the title, meta description, description depth, images, alt text and tags) and 45% answer engines (structured data, brand, identifiers, price, and copy an assistant can quote). It's the same rules-based engine the app runs on every product, with no AI guesswork, so the same product always gets the same grade.
The "after the fixes" number only counts fixes Yieldso can make itself. Anything that needs something only you have, such as real product photos, a GTIN or reviews, costs points but adds none back, so the potential score stays honest.
What the grader reads
- The live product page, as shoppers and crawlers see it: its title, meta description and every JSON-LD block.
- Shopify's public product data for the same product: description, brand, tags, price, stock, images and alt text, SKU and barcode.
- The page's Product structured data compared with the product itself, the way Google compares them, flagging missing, duplicate or mismatched blocks.

The grader only reads public pages. It can't see your Shopify admin, so a review app's ratings count only when they appear in the page's structured data.
