How to import redirects into Shopify
- Build and download the CSV above.
- In your Shopify admin, open Online Store → Navigation → URL redirects and choose Import.
- Upload the file, check the preview Shopify shows, and import.
Good to know
- Shopify only follows a redirect when the old URL doesn't exist any more. If a page still lives at the old address, it wins over the redirect.
- "Redirect from" must be a path on your store, such as
/old-page. Paste full old URLs and the builder trims them to paths for you. - A chain (A → B, then B → C) makes shoppers and crawlers take two hops. With the box ticked, A goes straight to C.
- A loop (A → B → A) never reaches a page, so those rows are left out until you fix them.
Redirecting broken links on a live store? The redirect checker traces any URL's hops, and the sitemap checker finds the dead pages your sitemap still lists.
Broken links, redirected for you
Yieldso finds the dead links on your store, picks the best live page for each, and creates the 301 once you approve. Every redirect reverts in one click.
